Confidential Survey

Sexual assault survivors often seem invisible in crime statistics.  The shame and stigma which surrounds sex crimes keeps its victim locked in a conspiracy of silence– sometimes for many years.   If you are a survivor of sexual abuse or assault and wish to participate in an anonymous survey please complete the following: 

This information will be kept confidential.  No one will be identified by name.  Accurate information about the prevalance of sex crimes is needed so that funding sources will choose to support vicitms who are not able to afford professional services. 

 
Sexual Abuse / Sexual Assault, for the purposes of this survey is:  Any unwanted sexual contact including but not limited to touching, fondling, exposure to pornography, molestation, incest, rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment.

If YES, how old when your first went to treatment?

(8) If treatment had been available to you for sexual abuse as a young child, would you have taken advantage of it?

The prevalence of sexual assault is usually not accurately reflected in crime statistics based on police reports. The shame and stigma surrounding sex crimes is profound and most victims wait many years before coming forward to seek help.
