SOAR is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional mental health services to victims of sexual trauma and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
A leader in the field, SOAR also provides education, advocacy and professional development.
SOAR relies on the generosity of the community for the support needed so no one is ever turned away because of a lack of money. Currently, 70% of the 2,000+ clients who come to SOAR cannot afford part or all of their recovery treatment. Your donation of $50 will help one teenager become part of a group therapy program, while your donation of $150 will enable one family to be admitted into the program.
Sexual abuse can cast a shadow the length of a lifetime. With your support, we can fade that dark shadow for thousands of victims of sexual abuse in our community.
In the past few years, high profile sexual abuse cases have brought this issue into the spotlight. We are encouraged that more victims have come forward to seek treatment as a result of these reports. However, this also presents us with a challenge as we struggle to meet the financial burden for this increased need. We very much need your help!
