SOAR commits to ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion is an integral part of our culture and practice. SOAR values highest quality trauma-informed care tailored to the unique experiences of each individual regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion, language, gender identity, biological sex, sexual orientation, marital status, varying physical abilities, neurodiversity, socioeconomic status, military status and political affiliation. Cultural humility is SOAR’s utmost priority. SOAR strives to maintain open curiosity and humility towards social diversity.  This also implies recognition of ongoing training and education for our staff and volunteers. SOAR reserves the right to update its practices based on new research and understanding specific to social justice advocacy.
